 - Film über eine grausame Grindwaljagd am 01. November 2013

Bei dieser Treibjagd (s. Film) am 01.11.2013 wurden 86 Grindwale grausam getötet. In der Zeit vom 21.07. bis 01.11.2013 wurden insgesamt 1.534 Meeressäuger abgeschlachtet.

Text of the video by Faroese-filmer: "...Some people say that we should buy meat in the supermarket instead. Well the cows, chicken and pigs that end up there have also been killed. And have lived miserable lives in animal concentration camps, force fed a diet that is not natural for them and pumped full of antibiotics to keep them alive until they are transported in trucks to the slaughter. ..."

WDSF-Statement:  Not one word about the intelligence of the whales! Not one word about high contamination of the meat and blubber of the pilot whales. Not one word that nobody can't domesticate whales. Every killed whale and dolphin is lost for ever on this planet. If the killing of whales goes on worldwide like on Faroe-Island, in near future we will have not one whale on this planet earth. Teenagers and children are learning whaling in the Faroe Islands. Never ever we have heard about children in slaughter houses in western world. It's cruel!
